Position Overview:

We have an outstanding opportunity for a skilled consumer marketing professional that can help Oregon's Wild Harvest attain aggressive growth goals and establish our product acceptance in the global marketplace. The individual will have demonstrated skills and experience in consumer marketing through a diverse set of channel partners, including large regional retailers, independent retailers as well as on-line partners. The candidate should also be highly skilled in the use of social media and other marketing communications vehicles.

Responsibilities:

The Director of Marketing at Oregon's Wild Harvest (OWH) will be accountable for the following:

  • Developing and executing the marketing plan and budget
  • Developing and executing the internal and external marketing processes that create brand awareness and prospects for OWH
  • Internal and external marketing resource management and development
  • Marketing support to other OWH functions such as Sales
  • Market research including surveys, competitive information, market size and market share compared to the competition
  • Development of theme, look and feel, brochures, press and all events, seminars, tours or conferences
  • Liason to industry organizations, assisting with building relationships with key industry influencers
  • Managing communications between Marcom and IT on website issues
  • Assisting with communicating the overall company strategy (internal marketing communications) to all departments to ensure the company's goals and strategies are clear and understandable
  • Developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with peers on the management team

In addition, the Director of Marketing will be accountable for developing and executing the OWH Marketing Plan which will include the following:

  • Creates and produces marketing collateral materials to support sales processes for all companies
  • Responsible for graphic design which includes all artwork, marketing material, signage and all creative design
  • Ensures that all projects are completed on time and on budget
  • Coordinates all market campaigns and activities, ensuring targets and segments are accurate
  • Manages and continuously updates the website content, working with the webmaster to ensure a user-friendly interface and clear and consistent messaging
  • Develop style guides and templates for all OWH communications, both internal and external
  • Manages OWH's external communications, press releases, sales boilerplate and power point presentations

Qualifications:

Skills & Experience:

  • Honesty, integrity and personal accountability
  • 6 to 8 years consumer goods experience
  • Thorough understanding of how an end user searches for, compares, purchases, and uses our products, equipment and services
  • Understands OWH's value proposition such that very clear messages can be made to the target customer
  • Strong skills and experience in brand/image-building
  • Strong skills in design and creation of compelling marketing materials both visually and in content
  • Strong writing skills
  • Ability to recruit, hire and retain top marketing talent (internal or contract resources)
  • Ability to develop and manage external marketing resources
  • Deep understanding of selling process and how marketing impacts the process
  • Strong understanding of diverse set of marketing media and applicability to company sales and marketing process
  • Strong understanding of technology tools available to marketing function
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong detail orientation and well-organized
  • Demonstrated skills in working collaboratively with Sales and other groups within the organization

Compensation: Oregon's Wild Harvest offers a competitive compensation and benefits package for the right individual.

  • Base Salary: $80,000-100,000
