Sierra Club, America's oldest, largest, and most influential grassroots environmental organization and a leading voice worldwide in the movement to protect the planet, seeks a Director, Membership and Direct Marketing. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced marketing professional to join a team of highly talented and dedicated individuals, under the leadership of the Sierra Club's new Executive Director, Michael Brune, at an important time in the organization's history.
Position Overview:
The engagement of activists is key to Sierra Club's success and the Director has a direct role in building this network of 1.4 million members and supporters and 32,000 volunteers. The Director is charged with maximizing revenue from membership and direct marketing; nurturing and growing the Club's membership base, making use of both traditional and emerging strategies; providing strong leadership and management to professional staff and vendors; and engaging in and embracing the Sierra Club community. The position is located in San Francisco, California.
