Director, French Creek Project

French Creek, Pennsylvania's most biologically diverse waterway, seeks a skilled natural resources professional to help conserve and restore its natural beauty and biological resources. Located in the affordable community of Meadville in northwestern Pennsylvania, the French Creek project is a national award-winning partnership of conservationists, community leaders, and environmentally-responsible business.

The Director, French Creek Project will be responsible for:

• development and implementation of the strategic plan for the French Creek Project;
• coordination with French Creek Project Partners;
• development and management of grants and contracts in consultation with the Vice President of Western Pennsylvania;
• management of the office and staff of the French Creek Project;
• direct coordination with select staff from Partner organizations;
• management of contracts with outside consultants;
• development and implementation of a community relations strategy for the furtherance of the goals of the French Creek Project;
• other duties as determined

Position requires

• 5-10 years senor management experience,
• an ability to lead a complex coalition with grace and good humor, and a strong commitment to the preservation of biological diversity.
• An ability to work with and communicate among diverse, rural stakeholders is also highly desireable.

Salary is negotiable based on experience -- with an excellent benefits package including health, life, dental, and retirement.
