Join the team at Seattle Public Utilities (SPU), a municipal utility recognized nationally and internationally for its leadership in the areas of asset management and environmental stewardship as the Director, Program Management and Customer Contracts.
Job Overview:
This is a unique opportunity to provide leadership to a team of dedicated professionals coordinating community stewardship programs, overseeing volunteer management activities, and managing waste prevention, graffiti removal, recycling, and solid waste services.
Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will lead program planning and implementation strategies, ensure attainment of program goals and priorities through team building and effective management, and oversee administrative and financial management strategies.

Qualifications:
We're seeking someone with at least 5 years of management-level experience and either a Bachelor's degree in a related field or additional qualifying experience. Additionally, the ideal candidate:
- Has experience in negotiating and administering contracts
- Can communicate effectively with diverse audiences both orally and in writing
- Is committed to providing inclusive service to all of the customers we serve
- Has strong program management skills including program planning and program design; developing and managing budgets, strategic planning, and performance management
