Kearns & West, a specialized communications and public affairs firm, with a specialty in environmental collaborative planning and public involvement, is seeking a seasoned facilitator/mediator for our San Francisco office.

Duties:
The individual sought would manage and facilitate long-term collaborative processes involving stakeholders from state and federal natural resource agencies, environmental organizations, industry and local interests. These processes are intended to forge consensus among disparate interests in developing natural resource management strategies, plans and settlements.
Qualifications:
Candidates must have 8 -10 years of relevant experience (facilitation, mediation, dispute resolution) and be able to: design and lead collaborative processes with senior-level stakeholders; analyze and explain complex environmental issues and regulations particularly those related to water use in California and the Pacific Northwest; provide our clients with strategic counsel on public involvement and environmental/natural resource regulatory processes (NEPA, CEQA, ESA, FPA/ECPA, Wild and Scenic Rivers, etc.); and manage a team of professionals assigned to each project.
Previous consulting experience will also be valued.
