Position Overview:
The Direct Mail/Direct Marketing Manager is responsible for continual analysis and strategic direction relating to our ongoing direct mail marketing program. This involves but is not limited to giving strategic input in relation to revising/rewriting existing marketing materials, creating new marketing materials, producing and maintaining seasonal product catalog, providing input in relation to the monthly direct mail marketing schedule based on analysis of past mailing programs, and working with our list brokers to strategically select/mail to new prospects each month.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for analysis and input in determining /maintaining monthly direct mail marketing schedule/promotion strategy.
- Coordinate mail list orders, mail list processing and mailings in adherence with direct mail schedule.
- Coordination of national and customer specific promotional activity for direct mail campaigns.
- Revise/rewrite, order and otherwise maintain all direct-response marketing materials as needed.
- Produce seasonal product catalog (providing input re: content, coordinating revisions, ordering catalog and mailing according to schedule.)
- Oversee maintenance and updates of all internal marketing tracking information in as needed (product item codes, keycodes, sale prices, etc.)
- Track responses from all marketing campaigns through weekly Profit and Loss reports.
- Provide inventory Projections for Production based on projected marketing campaign response.
- Maintain email marketing program (includes maintaining email database, designing and sending email blasts to customers.)
- Oversee maintenance of website content (includes adding new products, editing existing products, and designing new product-specific sites as needed.)
- Other duties and special projects as requested.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in direct mail/direct response marketing a must.
- Proficiency with MS Office required and advanced Excel skills a must.
- High School Diploma or GED required, Bachelor's Degree required.
- Excellent grammar, verbal and writing skills.
- Must be results-driven, resourceful and well organized with an ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
- High energy level, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to get along with diverse personalities, tactful, and flexible.
- Aptitude for data analysis, trend analysis, and strategic planning a must.
Compensation: Salary is $50K to $60K DOE plus benefits.
This position will require overtime often, however, typical hours will be from 8:30 to 5:00pm Monday through Friday. Weekend work is very rare, but may possibly come up if necessary.
