Internship Overview

Bluefield is seeking a motivated, team-player with strong web and communications skills, to help drive our digital strategy. This position, which reports to the Director of Marketing, will support Bluefield’s marketing, sales and research teams in driving commercial activities. The water industry’s need for market intelligence is increasingly critical, and this role is a perfect stepping stone to leading change in a growing business environment.

The Digital Content Manager is Responsible For:

  • Website Content and Updates: Regularly updating website content, using best digital practices. Post and edit all digital assets to website.
  • Marketing Metrics: Analyze and identify opportunities for improved SEO. Manage and report usage on website analytics, and keep regular updates on marketing metrics
  • Web Usage: Support research and sales teams with client usage and user stats, to support renewals and client engagement
  • Expanding digital marketing lists:Continue to expand digital marketing list based on conferences, news items, and target accounts.
  • Supporting social media initiatives: Support social media strategy with tweets, assets, messaging, etc (Primary channels: Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook)
  • Driving podcast and Video Strategy: Help drive plan for managing podcast series. Seek opportunities to expand video presence on website.
  • Tracking the latest digital market trends, identify opportunities to use digital technology to enhance Bluefield’s marketing strategy

Required Education, Skills & Experiece 

  • Familiarity with marketing systems and channels (e.g. WordPress, Exact Target, Salesforce, Memberpress, Shopify, Hubspot, Google Analytics)
  • Experience with SEO a plus
  • Experience with Podcasts, a plus
  • Undergraduate degree required
  • 2-3 years of experience in digital technologies, marketing or related field
  • Interest in clean-tech, environmental, or water issues
  • Good knowledge of digital marketing channels
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • A keen attention to detail and highly effective organization skills including the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously in a supportive, but fast-paced environment.
