The U.S. Green Building Council, New York Chapter (USGBC New York), a nonprofit organization working to advance sustainable buildings, currently has an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who is interested in Development and wants to be part of the growing green building movement.

Position Overview:

Interns are integral members of our office.  Assisting with projects like our Annual Fall Gala, foundation fundraising, and membership, interns gain a strong grasp of both green building and non-profit work.
 
Qualifications:

Individuals with the following criteria are encouraged to apply:

  • B.A. or currently enrolled in school
  • Passion for environmental issues, and dedication to non-profit work
  • Mac literacy, proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Excellent research and organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate and work well with others
  • A commitment to the USGBC New York mission
  • Knowledge of basic fundraising practices a plus

Compensation: This is an unpaid, part-time internship.
