Sierra Forest Legacy (SFL) is dedicated to the protection, conservation and restoration of natural resources on the 12 million acres of national forest lands in the Sierra Nevada.
Position Overview:
SFL is seeking a visionary, experienced, and committed professional to fill the position of deputy director of the organization. Following a 6 months successful tenure, the deputy director will transition to the position of project director. The project director is the executive staff leader for SFL and oversees all management functions, staff, and activities of the organization, including execution of the Forest Conservation and Forest Restoration programs, planning, budget and fundraising, development, and administration.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in the development and implementation of forest management policies, especially in California, and the complex resource issues associated with this area. H/she will also have demonstrated leadership experience in the fundraising sectors.

SFL is a project of the Tides Center and staff are employees of the Tides Center. The duty station for this position may be a home office within 75 miles of Sacramento.
