Position Overview 

Aquinas College seeks a Dean of Science and Sustainability.  This position will provide visionary leadership for the transformation and advancement of the sciences in curriculum, teaching, and research; and for the continued integration, development, and strengthening of the culture of Economicology and sustainability.

Economicology, a term coined by Peter Wege, focuses on the 6 E’s: 

• Economics
• Ecology
• Environment
• Ethics
• Education
• Empathy 

Qualifications  

• Applicants must have teaching experience and must possess a Ph.D. in a natural or physical science at the time of hire.
• The successful candidate will be committed to the principles of sustainability and liberal arts education.
• This individual will ideally have experience with administration, successful grant acquisition, and community partnerships.
• The Dean of Science and Sustainability will lead the college’s effort to rebuild and equip its science facility.
