Description
We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual to insure that AMC's centralized and desktop databases run reliably and efficiently.
Centralized database services include defining standards for codes, creating and executing query statements, writing reports, performing uploads and downloads, monitoring database and machine performance, managing user access and privileges for the database program and files, establishing an appropriate end user environment (menus and screens), and training end users.
If you are self-motivated, have a willingness to learn and have experience with relational databases this is an excellent entry-level position into which the right individual can grow.
Responsibilities:
Write queries using the query languages of the central systems
Generate reports as requested by end-users Manage user rights, system security levels and end user environment (menus and screens).
Serve as the point-person for end user problems with the databases.
Train staff on use of membership system and other databases.
Maintain written guidelines and documentation for procedures, reports, and database structures.
Help end users design, implement, and create tables, queries and reports for their desktop databases.
Requirements:
Knowledge with relational databases. Experience with UniQuery, SQL or other database query languages
Familiarity with UniBasic, Visual Basic or other programming languages.
Familiarity with Benefactor or other fundraising software a plus.
Knowledge of Windows PC desktop environments and desktop databases such as Microsoft Access
Ability to analyze problems with complex database, operating system, and network environments quickly and accurately. Bachelor degree
