MyEnerSave is the energy monitoring hub in the cloud and delivers energy efficiency to consumers by leveraging its ground-breaking signature analytics algorithms to break down smart meter data into individual household appliances without using plug level monitors. This rings in the era of an entirely new big data that brings personalized recommendations and savings to consumers and load control and demand response to utilities.

Position Overview:

MyEnerSave is well funded by a Tier-1 Venture Capitalist from Silicon Valley and is currently hiring a Data Scientist.

Qualifications:

  • MS in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math, or related areas. Exceptionally strong candidates with a BS and relevant work experience welcome.
  • Strong background in data mining, machine learning and statistical analysis.
  • Expert pattern recognition and predictive modeling skills (time series analysis, Markov chains, decision trees, etc.)
  • Keen aptitude for large scale data analysis with a knack for identifying key insights from data.
  • Fluency in programming languages like C/C++/Java and scripting languages like PHP/Ruby.
  • Experience using MapReduce and NOSQL (Hadoop/Cassandra/HDFS/HBase/HIVE/Pig) for data analytics is a big plus.
  • 3+ years hands-on practical experience with large scale data analysis
  • Fluency in analytical tools such as R, SAS, Weka etc.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
