Position Overview:

We are adding a Sales Specialist to our team to be focused on the residents of Santa Monica and the businesses in Santa Monica. This is a direct sales, quota carrying position offering base salary, commission and bonus.

Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for new business development, which might include being responsible for a small team of independent specific sales representatives
  • Develop and execute and/or assist in the development and execution of presentations and product demonstrations in cooperation with our Marketing efforts.
  • Identify and qualify new prospects
  • Prepare and present a strategic sales plan
  • Makes outbound cold and warm calls to potential and existing customers. Uses telephone and e-mail to qualify leads as well as visiting prospects.
  • Conduct need/solutions analysis
  • Develop and maintain a database (sales pipeline) of potential and existing account penetration for sales management
  • Prepare timely and accurate client/account activity summaries and sales forecasts for management's review
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales quota
  • Requires ~25% travel
  • Will be asked to represent the company on events

Qualifications:

  • Previous direct sales experience with proven sales success - Minimum 2 years experience
  • Understanding of or experience with the taxi industry preferred.
  • Have experience and able to apply knowledge in a Franchise business system
  • Experience in working with promotion codes, coupons and vouchers.
  • The ability to effectively identify, negotiate, generate and defend sales revenue.
  • Results-oriented, motivated by sales success, inspired by marketing
  • Budget conscious
  • Positive, can-do attitude, confident, outgoing personality.
  • Creative thinking a must
  • Autonomous, enjoys taking responsibility and delivering results
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Patience, perseverance and persuasiveness
  • A good team player
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • A customer driven approach, good customer management and customer service skills.
  • Experience of working under pressure and with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to report and project accurately, ability to identify problems and apply creative solutions
  • Effective time management skills, able to work within timeframes.
  • Experience utilizing PCs and basic Microsoft software programs
  • Well organized, understanding and disciplined with regards policy, procedure and standards.
  • University degree preferred.

Language skills:

  • Fluency in English
  • Any additional languages a plus.
