Description

Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit trails and greenways advocacy organization, seeks a Coordinator of Trail Development.

Responsibilities:

Provides technical assistance to the public, manages web-based technical assistance resources, tracks and records trail-related information, and oversees our national trails data base. This position will be integral in supporting the development and implementation of a new national program for urban trails.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have a B.A. or B.S. degree in transportation, urban or land use planning, the environment, community development or a related field; minimum of 2 years experience preferred (community organization experience a plus); excellent written and oral communication skills, including web content creation and management; excellent database management skills, knowledge and  proficiency of ArcGIS software; and an interest in non-motorized transportation planning and implementation.
