Position Overview
The International Living Future Institute (ILFI) seeks a Living Product Challenge/Declare Coordinator to join our staff. The Living Product Challenge/Declare Coordinator will provide support to the Living Product Challenge program through the development of tools, resources and research.
They will also provide customer service and support for the Declare program through the processing of labels and applications. The successful applicant must be a multitasking self-starter, with a passion for the ILFI mission, knowledge of online technologies, and strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
The position will be filled in Portland, Oregon or Seattle, WA and will involve periodic travel within the Pacific Northwest and occasionally beyond.
ILFI also has staff and programs in Portland, Oregon, Seattle, Washington and Vancouver, British Columbia. Responsibilities
Description of Duties:
- Support the Living Product Challenge staff with a variety of program research.
- Assist in the development of Living Product Challenge resources such as Handbooks, website resources, case studies and tool development.
- Provide support for the Declare program, working directly with the Declare Manager, to process Declare applications and labels and maintain the website.
- Assist with the development of the program for the Living Product UnExpo conference and coordinate the tradeshow.
- Coordinate a Living Product international competition including processing submittals, maintaining a web portal and coordinating jurying.
- Assist in the development of and maintain Living Product Challenge Education using powerpoint, in-design, and other graphics programs.
- Provide customer service for Declare and the Living Product Challenge by answering general program queries both by phone and electronically.
- Provide support with consulting projects when needed.
- Organize and direct volunteers and interns with special projects.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in a field complimentary to job duties.
- At least 2-3 years work experience within a related field such as green building, green chemistry, sustainable research or the design fields.
- Familiarity and confidence working with the Drupal web platform.
- A demonstrated passion for the ILFI mission and for sustainable products.
- Strong skills in powerpoint, in-design and other Mac based graphics programs.
- Previous customer service experience or strong people skills.
Desired:
- Strong ability and affinity for basic office computer programs with the ability to learn new software applications. Hardware and software will be Mac based.
- Friendly, outgoing nature and an eagerness to serve the public interest. An ability to go with the flow in a fast paced, high-energy organization is a key to success in this job.
- Previous coordinator experience in a non-profit setting.
Compensation: Salary commensurate with experience.
