Corporate Campaign University (CCU) is part of the Business Ethics Network (BEN) project of Corporate Ethics International (CEI). CEI's mission to bring corporations back in service to and under the control of the citizenry. BEN serves this mission by building the capacity of our activist members in their corporate campaign work by providing education, facilitating collaboration, and increasing recognition of campaign successes with the funding community and the public. CCU serves this mission by providing an online, on-demand training system for corporate campaign activists.

CCU includes a growing list of trainings for newer and veteran campaigners, the opportunity for newer activists to be certified in corporate campaigning, and options for tailoring and creating training systems for specific activist organizations inside and outside the U.S.

Position Overview:

This is a position with significant growth potential, beginning as a 6-month position focused on building Corporate Campaign University with the potential to continue as a permanent position coordinating the Business Ethics Network.

The Coordinator will report to: the Director of the Business Ethics Network and the Executive Director of Corporate Ethics International

Responsibilities:

  • Building partnerships around CCU with NGOs training large numbers of activists
  • Encouraging BEN Members to use CCU
  • Developing new CCU content through developing and executing live webinars and creating attendant content, including quizzes
  • Fundraising to support CCU
  • Working in collaboration with the rest of the BEN team on other BEN projects, including other webinars, membership, the Citizen Activist program, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with corporate campaign activism
  • Knowledge of corporations, possibly some experience working inside
  • Experience with diverse corporate campaign NGOs
  • Experience fundraising from foundations
  • Experience with online presentation and education software
  • Excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution and meeting facilitation skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent writing skills, with good research and editing abilities
  • Commitment to a long-term strategic effort to change the nature of corporations
  • Commitment to the values of the progressive movement
