Position Overview 

The
Contractor Services Manager is responsible managing the Contractor Services
team and for ensuring that weatherization contractors meet requirements and
goals of the Mass Save Home Energy Services program.  The position accomplishes this through daily communication
with staff and monitoring of quality and production. In order to ensure program
quality and production goals are met, the Contractor Service Manager
collaborates with Quality Assurance, Technical Support, and/or Administrative
staff.

Responsibilities

Position
Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned to meet
business needs):

  • Supervise
    the Contractor Services field and administrative staff.  Create systems in order to track quality
    and production.  Ensure staff
    members maintain certifications and attend related trainings.
  • Ensure
    administrative staff is providing quality and reliable service to
    contractors.
  • Provide
    high-quality customer service to home owners and work with contractors to
    efficiently resolve customer concerns.
  • Monitor
    quality and production of contractors, and communicate with contractors in
    order to facilitate improvements and maintain high customer satisfaction.
  • Analyze
    contractor data and compile contractor information to ensure accuracy and
    compliance.  Maintain databases and
    spreadsheets including tracking repairs, mission impact data, and
    organization-wide budgets.
  • Develop,
    implement, and monitor individual training plans to ensure contractors
    meet program quality and service standards.
  • Develop
    and maintain positive relationships with contractor, weatherization, and
    HVAC communities through attending community events, building science
    conferences, and by holding contractor meetings.
  • Coordinate
    with the Director of Marketing to coordinate events and trainings specific
    to weatherization contractors.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience managing people in a
    field and/or office setting.
  • 3 years of experience managing projects in the
    fields of residential home construction, home improvement, or HVAC.
  • Basic knowledge of integrated building
    science.
  • Ability to learn and implement program
    guidelines, incentive systems and requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and train
    weatherization contractors on program standards and rules.
  • Demonstrated computer skills including Microsoft
    Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated customer relations skills
    including ability to understand contractor concerns about program
    operations and to suggest solutions.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work within a multi-layered team in
    a fast paced, changing environment. 
  • Ability to obtain Building Performance
    Institute (BPI) certification as a Building Analyst I.

Compensation: This position is a full-time, salaried position with benefits.  Work on some weekends and evenings will be
required.  Travel throughout Western
Massachusetts is necessary.  Some work
from home will be expected.  CET is an
