Consumer Relations Representative

Planet Inc. sells environmentally friendly household products under the Planet and Green Forest brand names, and is one of the largest sellers of authentically green household products in the United States.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a Consumer Relations Representative to join our team at our main corporate office located in Langford, BC. This full-time temporary position is for approximately 14 months while a key member of our team is on maternity leave. There is potential for this position to become permanent if there is a good fit between the successful candidate and the company.

Responsibilities:

• Respond to consumer questions and comments by telephone in a timely manner using a friendly and diplomatic approach.
• Correspond with consumers by email using clear and concise writing.
• Represent the company positively and present company positions on issues relating to our products and the environment.
• Maintain records of all consumer correspondence and interactions.
• Some mailing and shipping of information and product samples.
• Limited general telephone reception.
• Other duties as requested.

Qualifications:

• High school graduation with excellence, some college or university preferred.
• A positive, diplomatic personality and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• High competency with word processing, spreadsheets, email and the Internet.
• Ability to follow procedures and maintain organized records.
• Interest in working for a friendly, casual and dedicated small company.
• Experience in working with the public strongly preferred, experience in consumer relations an asset.

Compensation:  Pay is negotiable based upon experience.
