Composite Technical Services (CTS) combines advanced materials performance with environmental sustainability under the brand name ExaPhen™, From Nature to Performance™. ExaPhen™ bio-based resins are extracted from non-edible agricultural by-products to provide cost competitive and high performance alternatives to petroleum based products and set a new standard for a more sustainable future, without competing against food sources. CTS currently offers aromatic multifunctional polyol and novolac monomers and polymers with up to 95% bio-content to be used in PU foam, composite material and CASE applications.
Position Overview:
CTS is looking for a Composite Business Manager with a scientific background in chemistry, materials or engineering disciplines. The appropriate candidate will have previous technical experience in composite material design and manufacturing techniques and resin chemistry.
The successful candidate will be able to leverage his/her technical knowledge to engage new clients, explore new markets and applications in the composite industry and work closely with the product manager to bring new products to market. Marketing analysis and sales skills will also be required along side a no-nosense attitude and a communicative personality. The position presents exciting challenges and the opportunity to shape a new section of CTS business strategy.
Qualifications:
Requirements for approved applicants are:
- BS Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Materials) or Chemistry.
- Minimum of 3 years experiece in at least 1 of the following areas: Prepreg, Pultrusion, SMC, RTM, or VARTM.
- Experience in the following chemistries: Epoxies, Phenolics, BMI or PU.
