Description

Fabulous part-time position with many training opportunities at Hoyt Arboretum in Portland, OR.

The Community Stewardship Coordinator will work with the Hoyt Arboretum Friends staff to engage community volunteers, visitors and Arboretum members in Hoyt Arboretum's collections. Position includes a variety of education & outreach activities & some volunteer management. 

General Responsibilities: 

1. Support volunteer program by (recruiting, training, event planning, educating, etc.)
2. Staff Hoyt Arboretum tables at community outreach events.
3. Provide info the Arboretum to visitors
4. Create, implement and lead program for special tour groups.
5. Create education and outreach materials including brochures, maps, and newsletters. 6. Support organization of special events involving community volunteers
7. Create "On the Trails" program to help visitors become better oriented while on the trails.
