This position is in partnership with the Northwest Service Academy (NWSA), an AmeriCorps program of ESD112. NWSA's mission is: To preserve and restore the natural environment, and to develop community leaders through service and community partnerships.
Position Overview:
The Community Garden Program Coordinator will work with staff and volunteers to develop a Community Garden Program to be shared by the City of Wilsonville and Wilsonville Community Sharing and Food Bank (WCS).
Responsibilities:
The goals are creation of an integrated community garden community, better nutrition and enhanced self esteem for WCS clients, increased awareness of the value of community gardens, establishment of a volunteer base and initial involvement of children and youth in gardening programs.
This is the first year of a three year program to build a strong community garden program in Wilsonville.
