Description
The Environmental Investment Organisation (EIO), a British-based not-for-profit organisation, researches, promotes and implements investment systems designed to incentivise the world's largest companies to cut their greenhouse gas emissions.
Through the Environmental Tracking concept, the EIO has developed a ‘market mechanism' capable of incentivising the world's largest companies to lower their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and improve levels of transparency, providing a vital tool for society in the fight against climate change.

The Rankings received international media attention and have already begun encouraging companies to make their emissions data public.
