Position Overview:

LORD Green Real Estate Strategies is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to join its Dallas-based green building consulting firm. The ideal candidate will have a mechanical engineering degree or equivalent and a minimum of 5 years' experience working with MEP systems as a mechanical contractor, facilities engineer or a controls contractor and can demonstrate strong knowledge of building systems and energy efficiency expertise.

Qualifications:

A minimum of 3 years' experience in commissioning of existing buildings required. LEED for Existing Buildings commissioning experience is a plus.

Exceptional communication, project management and computer skills are required. Self motivation, passion for our environment and a positive attitude are also required to excel in this position.

Additional job requirements:

  • Travel up to 30% of the time
  • Strong knowledge base of commercial mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems and products as well as building automation and energy management systems
  • Experience dealing with clients, contractors, vendors, property management/engineering staff and property owners
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Word and Excel proficiencies plus experience with Outlook
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to manage projects and tasks independently
  • Ability to be handle multiple projects and changing priorities
  • Strong customer service orientation

Compensation: This position may commence as full-time contract for a maximum of 2 months and then transition to a salaried position upon the agreement of independent contractor and employer.
