Position Overview: 

The Ygrene program provides funding for property owners (residential, commercial, and industrial) to finance energy efficient retrofits under AB811 property assessed clean energy (PACE) enabling legislation. Ygrene Energy Fund brings together a team of reliable capital lenders and nationally recognized commercial energy efficiency leaders to launch PACE programs throughout the country. We recognize the country's desire to reduce energy use and rebuild America, with a special focus on creating jobs, reducing energy use and costs, and securing independence from foreign oil.

We are seeking an Energy Consultant to administer the Sacramento Ygrene PACE program and support the local government, commercial and industrial energy efficiency improvement programs in California.  The ideal candidates should be familiar with facility operations, markets and energy efficient strategies to successfully lead our 3rd party administration of the PACE program. This candidate will be responsible for the start up and day to day operations of the Ygrene program for commercial and industrial customers.

Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities include:

  • Establish, strengthen and maintain relationships with appropriate executives and managers of local and state government agencies and other related organizations.
  • Exercise consultative sales strategies to successfully achieve sales and performance goals.
  • Ability to master and advance a finance driven solution.
  • Oversee the review and approval of applications to funding of projects.
  • Manage program budgets and track performance against goals as well as provide monthly activity reports.
  • Communicate with contractors and program administrators regarding program requirements.
  • Responsible for delivering educational and informative presentations, contacting city officials, and participating in meetings to promote and increase involvement in the PACE program.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent
  • An energy efficiency background with a solid knowledge of energy efficient technologies and practices is essential.
  • 2-5 years demonstrated successful experience with sales and business development within the energy industry.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a fast-paced, team oriented and client focused environment.
