Description
Energy/Environmental consulting firm seeks a Task Lead Manager with building science experience to promote improved energy performance in the commercial, governmental, and industrial sectors.
Responsibilities include:
-- Developing innovative ways to apply emerging technologies and business practices to facilities energy management and performance
-- Managing technical projects, which include research and organizing information on commercial and industrial energy management practices, drafting, editing and formatting a variety of technical documents, and developing and maintaining marketing materials for internal and external use.
-- Forging contacts and relationships with the building industry, seeking opportunities to incorporate energy efficiency into their building practices and sales efforts.
-- Acting as liaison between the Federal Government, utilities and industry to develop voluntary partnerships dedicated to improving energy performance in the large commercial and industrial sectors.
Requires a willingness to travel, ability to multitask, positive attitude, personable, ability to forge strategic partnerships, and technical aptitude in the building science sector. The successful candidate will have experience or demonstrated aptitude to pick up C&I sector issues such as an understanding of energy and building codes, technical aspects of facilities management, and communicating technical aspects to the building industry. Strong presentation and writing skills are essential. Requires Bachelor's degree and 5 to 7 years of experience in engineering, building science, and/or energy efficiency.
