The New York City Mayor's Office has formally requested that Urban Green develop and deliver an outreach campaign to educate effected building owners on the requirements of the Greener, Greater Buildings Plan legislation, which passed in December of 2009 and establishes a NYC Energy Code (inception date, July 1st 2010) and requires buildings over 50,000 square feet to undertake a variety of measures designed to greatly improve their energy efficiency. The Codes Education Manager will work with an array of volunteers and the Mayor's Office to develop a presentation, will organize and oversee the training of a volunteer speakers bureau and manage the deployment of this bureau to the staffs of the effected properties.  Urban Green has secured a variety of funding commitments to support this work.
