Addison, an independent brand strategy and communications design agency, is looking for a Client Service Director to join our Sustainability Reporting and Communications team.
Position Overview:
In the role of Client Service Director, Sustainability, you will be responsible for multiple client accounts and projects. Your project management role within these accounts will be to ensure on time, on budget, high-quality deliverables and client satisfaction. You will also provide leadership in setting the standard for seamless process management from project kick-off to completion, as well as facilitating cross-selling between our brand identity, business literature and annual reports divisions.
Your primary responsibility will be to manage sustainability reporting and communications projects for Addison's largest clients. You will also facilitate workflow through the Creative Resources department. You will use your knowledge of sustainability communications best practices to support the Sustainability Strategist. This may include research of sustainability communications trends, attendance at key events for networking and advisory on sustainability reporting best practices.
As a senior member of the Addison Client Service team, you will be expected to develop methodologies that continue to raise the standard of excellence in how Addison serves our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Develops and maintains key client relationships
- Acts as central point of communication on multiple projects, internally and externally
- Develops overall project timelines and maintains regular status reports for distribution to clients and team
- Develops strategic implementation work plans and presentations
- Schedules and facilitates the flow of information in all project phases, ensuring that milestones such as client approvals and Addison proposal objectives are met and recorded
- Initiates and facilitates preparation of project meetings and conference calls with agendas, conference rooms, meals, transportation, travel and accommodations
- Facilitates team planning to ensure that interdisciplinary team members share appropriate information and tools
- Keeps senior project leads informed of project status and needs
- Maintains budget/billing standards, opens job numbers for each phase and/or each project and maintains an accurate history of each project
- Provides team time/billing update reports outlining current job numbers, job titles, completion status and remaining budgets
- Traffics multiple jobs through the Creative Services Department, ensuring that clients' expectations are met
- Facilitates client-side billing
- Assists in content development of proposals for new business requests, as appropriate
- Writes proposals for add-on business requests
- Assists marketing in the creation of case history(s) for each client/project
- Mentors less experienced Client Service group members
- Works with senior staff throughout Addison to clarify the role of Client Services and improve methods of communication and information sharing
- Contributes to the continued development of Addison Client Service expertise by participating in the development of client service guidelines, processes and best practices
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in client service or account/project management; financial services experience a plus
- Knowledge of sustainability reporting frameworks, issue areas, organizations and best practices
- College degree; MBA a plus
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail a must
- Ability to work with a diverse group of demanding team members; team player
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills required
- Proven ability to make tight deadlines
- Articulate and confident client presence
- Flexibility and the ability to take individual initiative and self-manage
- Outstanding people and facilitation skills; Adept at directing team members and Creative Services personnel
- Experienced in project finance coordination and budget management
- Work to exacting standards of accuracy imposed by the nature of the work
- Ability to work in a highly entrepreneurial environment with minimal structure
- Must be willing to work overtime when necessary
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel (must be able to create and maintain spreadsheets with computations); knowledge of project management software (FastTrack or Microsoft Project) programs a plus
- Ability to work in Macintosh OS-X operating system environment
