Position Overview
The Chief Operating Engineer manages day to day operations of the Southeast or St. Paul Steam Heating Plant.
Responsibilities
- Schedules plant maintenance/outages, including plant walkdowns with potential bidders.
- Responsible for plant procurement and adherence to Company policies and procedures relating to same.
- Responsible for approving employee timecards, along with allocating their schedules.
- Assists with the annual business and financial planning efforts to be presented to Veolia management.
- Ensures the safe and reliable operation of the steam plants. *LI-SS1
Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- At least 5 years' experience working in a large, high pressure steam heating plant or in high pressure boiler operation.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- State of Minnesota Chief Engineer Grade A stationary engineer's license required.
