Description
Chemonics seeks a Chief of Party for a long-term Washington DC - based, USAID-funded information management project. NRIC provides a diverse array of scientific, technical and communications support critical to USAID's NRM Office and its biodiversity conservation, sustainable forestry, land resources management, and water teams.
Key responsibilities include: management of technical staff conducting analyses and writing; production of high visibility publications; development of new initiatives; and maintenance of close contact and customer service to USAID technical teams dedicated to natural resource conservation.
Qualifications:
* 10 - 15 years experience in natural resources management and at least 5 years experience managing complex projects of multidisciplinary teams of junior and senior-level staff;
* Extensive knowledge of USAID operations, programming, and structure;
* Excellent personnel management, communications, and financial management skills;
* Demonstrated Experience in information management tools and systems including database, web, GIS, and desk top applications preferred;
* Advanced degree in natural resources management or related field preferred;
* Ability to travel and work overseas as required; and
* English fluency required.
Note: Permanent US work authorization is needed in order to gain required security clearance.
