Chief Financial Officer

TerraTherm is a worldwide leader in the development and implementation of in situ thermal remediation of organic contaminants in subsurface source zones. We advise on, design, build, and operate thermal remediation projects from concept to closure.

Position Overview:

As a key member of the Executive Management team, the Chief Financial Officer will report to the President and assume a strategic role in the overall management of the company. The CFO will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the company. This will include direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, job costing, legal, property management, project and partner negotiations, and financing of field equipment and working capital.  Most importantly this is a player/coach role where patience and teaching skills are required with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities:

Key Priorities:

• Hands on implementation of an integrated project cost system for complex multi year field projects ranging from $2 to $8 M on average but reaching in excess of $20 M.
• Develop a metrics based approach to decision-making and risk assessment at all levels of the company.
• Support project proposals, contracting and staging for sophisticated clients in domestic and international environments and for federally funded projects.
• Institute effective internal controls and compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
• Manage and expand capital sourcing for field equipment finance, working capital and strategic expansion.

Qualifications:

• BS in Accounting or Finance with either an MBA and/or CPA.
• CFO with 20+ years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles, preferably in engineering services with environmental sector experience a plus.

Other Skills & Abilities:

PC proficiency is essential (Windows environment) with strong working knowledge of Timberline (or similar integrated services and accounting package) as well as Excel proficiency.
