Position Overview:

This Business Manager is responsible for the global product line profitability and meeting established milestones pertaining to various naturally derived renewable wax products and developing specialty chemical products. The Business Manager will assist the company in reaching goals and objectives related to sales, productivity and profitability, among other areas. The Business Manager provides the coordination point between functions to establish and execute business goals and strategy.  

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement meaningful business strategies and approaches to accelerate product category growth.
  • Responsible for extracting trends from industry data and developing new products, expand the customer base, functional coordination for the business.
  • Manage the positioning and business potential of various products.
  • Manage the demand forecast.
  • Maintain project and action plans, report progress and suggest corrective actions whenever necessary.
  • Conduct market analysis to define either significant new markets for existing products or new products with our existing markets.
  • Maintain key customer contacts to enhance relationships and optimize planning.

Qualifications:

Candidates should have: 

  • A bachelor's degree in business or a technical field is required; MBA preferred.
  • Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a business manager or business analyst role within chemicals, petrochemicals, biochemical, natural oil processing or a related industry.
  • Knowledge of the dynamics of supply/demand trends and customer/supplier relationships are required.
  • Must possess a solid financial understanding of value proposition and value delivery.
  • Must possess strong decision making skills and process improvement skills.
  • Must have the ability to communicate well across all levels and inspire and lead employees to achieve objectives.
  • Must have market analysis and development skills.
  • Must possess strong problem solving and customer relationship management with a demonstrated ability to handle complex analytical assignments.
  • Must possess strong strategic, financial analysis, and conceptual thinking skills.

Strong candidates should have:

  • Technical knowledge of key products and markets including wax formulas and performance wax.
  • Experience in leading product development.
