Responsibilities:
The Global Environmental Management Education Center (GEM) seeks a Business Manager. As a member of the GEM administrative team, the GEM Business Manager is responsible for the fiscal management of GEM grants and contracts including developing budgets in grant narratives, budget review, account reconciliation, and fiscal reporting as required.
Duties include:
- Serving as conference planning team member for international conference(s) hosted by GEM;
- Participating in GEM administrative office staff meetings and meetings with GEM program managers;
- Researching external funding organizations appropriate to GEM's education mission and facilitating grant proposal process.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, communications or related area required, MBA preferred;
- Minimum of three years of related professional work experience;
- Demonstrated competence in using Microsoft Windows Office software programs (Access, Word, PowerPoint and Excel), electronic networking environment;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to conduct multiple tasks concurrently and to work effectively alone and in a team setting is desired;
- Work experience related to the field of natural resources and/or international relations is preferred.
Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated fiscal management work experience.
Compensation:
Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
