Description
GreenShape is a nationally-recognized green building sustainability consulting firm based in Washington, DC. We guide building owners, design and construction professionals in the creation of buildings, programs and education for sustainable living. We are a woman-owned small business conveniently located above the Farragut North Metro Station in Washington, DC.
Responsibilities:
As the GreenShape Business Development Manager you will work directly with our Principal to generate and follow up with new business leads, to educate potential clients about our services, to create and follow through with proposals, and to manage client contracts. You will develop and maintain marketing collateral in coordination with our graphic designer.
Accounting responsibilities will include managing accounts payable, generating client invoices, managing accounts receivable and cash flow. You will be responsible for bank reconciliations, generating and analyzing monthly income and expense reports and managing HR functions including payroll.
You will support the project management team with project scheduling, management and administrative functions and will provide direct project support as required to enable you to advise potential clients about our services. You may assist with green building life-cycle cost analysis on projects as required.
Qualifications
Green building is booming and we are looking to augment our team with an innovative and energetic professional with a background in marketing, business, and/or finance.
Candidates should have 2-5 years of related professional experience, possess strong verbal and written communications skills, and be comfortable working with minimal supervision in a small office environment. The ability to maintain a positive, flexible attitude is essential. Must be detail oriented but able to see and manage the big picture. Position requires the ability to organize and analyze data and to manage timely client communications. Candidate should be experienced and comfortable with current computer technology including MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Quickbooks, InDesign, MS Project and Contact Management software.
