Position Overview:

The Business Analyst is responsible for providing the competitive landscape of the renewable energy market in the United States including the following major duties:

  • Analyzing competitive environment (power generation market, product incentive structures, player landscape).
  • Identifying financial partners and investors for financing solutions, especially for project business.
  • Analyzing financial models (e.g. for PPA offering or alternative financing).
  • Performing economic, cost, and revenue analyses and cost of ownership calculations.
  • Developing cost calculations and controlling tools for sales management including product price modeling.
  • Coordinating market intelligence for the US sales organization.
  • Managing investor relations.

This position will require some domestic and international travel.

Qualifications:

Qualifications include an MBA with a concentration in Finance and 3-5 years in financial management, preferably in a technical environment, with experience in developing business models and support tools for field sales. Knowledge of structured financing in the field of power generation, preferably in the renewable energy sector is required.

The successful candidate will have excellent presentation and communications skills. He or she will have the ability to work in teams and effectively communicate across cultures and at all levels of organizations. He or she will have the ability to process large amounts of information and to formulate recommendations for a board level audience. Experience using MS office software is required.
