Job Summary:
 
The Country Manager for Brazil will be responsible for directing, promoting, and coordinating the operations of the Company in a manner that will optimize help to achieve Clipper's mission and goals, and result in outstanding customer service for the Brazilian Market share.  This position reports to the Director of International Sales.
 
Job Requirements:
 
The Country Manager's responsibilities involve supervision, public relations, marketing, profitability and sales, service, reporting, capital requirements, and other duties as assigned.  Specific duties include:
  • Manage the qualifying of the Liberty wind turbine under the Brazilian domestic content requirements for participation in bids and for financing with lenders such as BNDES & investors, as well as trade finance.
  • Facilitate discussions with Brazilian vendors of turbine sub components.
  • Manage team that will be coordinating turbine sales and project construction.
  • The Country Manager will maintain a positive attitude that promotes team work within the cooperative and a favorable image of the cooperative.
  • Supervision involves developing and communicating cooperative goals and results to personnel; selecting, supervising, and supporting the employee team; and upholding cooperative policies.
  • Develop and review budget and goals.
  • Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the division.

Minimum Job Qualifications:

  • An experienced leader and financial background and an appropriate professional image. A strategic thinker with technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational focus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to edit and compose report text and correspondence and to present company information articulately.
  • Able to effectively manage multiple activities simultaneously.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent; or four to ten years' related experience.
  • Strong organizational skills required.
  • Experience in Brazilian electric sector, includes understanding of governing regulations and laws desired.
  • Polite, professional manner required.
  • Fluent in Portuguese & English.
  • Expert proficiency with Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel; familiarity with Microsoft Project and Access a plus; web-savvy.
