~ Rocky Mountain Solar and Wind, Inc. (RMS&W) has designed, installed and repaired solar energy systems since 1975, and wind systems since 2002. ~

The owner of RMSWI has been a solar contractor since 1980. RMSWI is a small to medium size business located in Colorado Springs.

We install residential, commercial, and industrial systems in the Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Denver, Fairplay and Canon City regions of Colorado. Our Sales and Design team work closely with the Colorado Springs Utilities, Black Hills Energy, Mountain View Electric, Sangre de Cristo Electric and Xcel Rebate Programs.

Position Overview

This Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant position is responsible for maintaining the accounting records for RMSWI and Om Solar using the QuickBooks. Reconcile all accounts as needed. Assist the owner and others in running and customizing reports that provide business data and analysis. Perform banking functions as required. Assist the project manager, foreman, salespeople, and the president with tasks as needed. Must be a good, positive team player.

Start Date: Immediate

Responsibilities

  • Process A/P and A/R for vendors and clients
  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts in QuickBooks
  • Pay taxes and resolve tax matters with IRS, state, city, and counties
  • Provide job costing and profit and loss reports and analysis

Administrative Duties:

  • Sorting and sending mail
  • Answering and routing phone calls
  • Greeting visitors

Financial Duties:

  • Expense reports
  • Processing payments
  • Billing
  • Payroll
  • Purchasing

Qualifications

Experience Training and Qualities Required/Preferred for This Position:

  • Bookkeeping using QuickBooks: (4-5 years (Required)
  • Sales tax & payroll tax processing: 2-3 years (Required)

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • QuickBooks: 4 years (Preferred)
  • Bookkeeping: 4 years (Preferred)

Compensation

  • Training for this position will start at $16.00 to $20.00 /hour depending on experience and training.
