NOHMs Technologies, Inc is a rapidly growing lithium-ion battery materials development and manufacturing company. NOHMs Technologies is commercializing new technology platforms for advanced lithium-ion batteries which are safer, greener, and more powerful. Position Overview:
As a leader in NOHMs Technologies ("NOHMs") Battery Materials Research and Development Team, based in Ithaca, NY, this individual will play a key role in the growth of NOHMs core electrode and electrolyte materials technology. With a focus on safety, efficiency and reliability, this position will be focused on providing direction and team leadership in overcoming technological challenges associated with the commercialization of innovative new lithium-ion battery materials.
Responsibilities:
Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Identify key areas for technology improvement, and support existing research projects related to the synthesis, analysis, and evaluation of novel NOHMs Nanostructured material platforms for advanced battery electrodes and electrolytes.
- Define scope and clarify individual roles as a team leader for company research projects.
- Collaborate and communicate with researchers internally, at external companies, national labs and universities to achieve research goals
- Investigate new electrochemical storage material and technologies and propose new research topics to management
- Prepare grants, reports, summaries, publications, external presentations, invention disclosures, and patents.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Chemistry, Material Science, Chemical Engineering or related disciplines.
- Post graduate experience in electrochemical storage/battery research including demonstrated publications and/or intellectual property in the battery field is preferred.
- Hands on experience with the synthesis and analysis of nano-structured battery electrode materials is preferred.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully within a cross functional, diverse team

Location: NOHMs Technologies Research and Development Headquarters in Ithaca, New York.
