Description
The Green Building Certification Institute seeks an Auditing Associate that will provide assistance to 2 programs within GBCI's continuing education area: the Credentialing Maintenance Program (CMP) and our Education Review Body (ERB). This is an entry-level position.
Position Overview:
The Auditing Associate will conduct audits of LEED Professionals for compliance with CMP requirements in accordance with the established process. The Auditing Associate will also conduct audits of submitted courses that are reviewed by the ERB. The auditing processes of both program areas are managed by the Program Associate.
This position will also support the various committees and working groups by setting up and taking minutes for those meetings. The Audit Associate will assist with the customer service provided to education providers and credential holders. In support of ongoing communication needs, the Audit Associate may also be asked to assist in the distribution of communication messages to various stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Audit function:
- Audit reported continuing education (CE) hours for conformance to program requirements
- Audit submitted courses to determine whether they meet quality, rigor, and relevance standards
Administrative:
- Support committees and working groups by coordinating meetings and then taking and distributing meeting minutes
Customer Service:
- Provide LEED Professionals and education providers with technical customer assistance
- Support Internal and External Customer Service Team
- Communicate and collaborate with credentialing staff to identify potential customer service issues and preventative measures
- Work with customer service management to assist in training development and data capture
- Support the day-to-day operations of customer service
- Perform other departmental tasks as assigned
Communications:
- Provide informational presentations on Credentialing products to external audiences both live and via web-conferencing
- Assist in the operation of the GBCI presence on social networking sites (i.e. LinkedIn)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Must possess the sound judgment, professionalism, and reliability needed to safeguard confidential information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word and Outlook
- General understanding of relational databases. (e.g., Access) Experience with SAP is a plus
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills
- Excellent writing and proofreading skills
- Good people skills, ability to find solutions to difficult situations and respond in a timely and professional manner
- Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
- Ability to work well independently and as a member of a team
- Detail-oriented with ability to prioritize and multitask
