Description

Evergreen Funding Consultants is seeking an Associate or SeniorAssociate to help with a growing portfolio of environmental projects. We are a small environmental policy consultancy that helps nonprofit and public clients develop creative funding solutions for a widevariety of environmental programs, including salmon restoration, open space preservation, sustainability, and water quality. Our services include strategic planning for large-scale funding campaigns, research into creative financing mechanisms and conservation incentives, guidance on state and federal lobbying, grant program
management, and grantwriting.

Duties and Responsibilities:

We are looking for someone to help with several of our environmentalpolicy and funding contracts. This position will quickly take onproject management responsibilities.

Duties will include:

* Working with clients to identify funding needs and recommend solutions
* Preparing complex reports and presentations on a wide variety of environmental issues
* Evaluating federal and state grant programs and budgets
* Researching new financing initiatives and tools such as conservationbanking
* Working with watershed groups to improve implementation of watershedrecovery plans
* Staffing and coordinating client and stakeholder meetings
* Grantwriting

Minimum Qualifications:

* B.A. or B.S. degree in related field
* 3-5 years experience in environmental policy, public policy,environmental management, or related field
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent organizational skills
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals and groupsrepresenting a variety of interests
* The ability to work with minimal supervision
* Excellent web research skills, familiarity with Excel and PowerPoint

Desired Skills and Experience:

* Knowledge of Puget Sound environmental issues and key parties
* Project management experience
* Experience preparing complex reports that include both technical andpolicy issues
* Knowledge of state and federal appropriations and legislative processes
* Experience with environmental fundraising and grantwriting
* Facilitation skills
* Experience marketing to new clients

Compensation

Compensation will range from $40-65,000, depending upon experience.Excellent health and vacation benefits. We have a demanding workload,but maintain a relaxed and friendly atmosphere in our office in Fremont.
