Position Overview:
M+R Strategic Services is looking for an Associate Analyst to join our team of Internet experts to evaluate data from non-profit online campaigns and present analyses that will guide our strategies to optimize results. This Associate Analyst will support and improve our current reporting and data systems.

Every day you'll stretch your analytical skills to develop strategies for new issues. You'll be collecting, analyzing, and organizing data that will provide the foundation for new innovations in the online campaigning field.
The Associate Analyst is an entry-level position supporting the work of the eCampaigns Team at M+R. This team works with public-interest non-profit organizations to recruit online activists, influence public policy, raise money online, and deepen relationships with online supporters.
The Associate Analyst will support a team of online advocacy, fundraising, and marketing professionals as well as nonprofit clients and technology vendors
Responsibilities:
Job responsibilities will include:
Data Reports Management:
- Assist staff with monthly data collection processes and procedures.
- Maintain reporting database of clients' advocacy, fundraising, messaging details and response rate data.
- Participate in regular working group meetings about ongoing report development and maintenance.
Data Analysis:
- Design queries, build data pulls, develop customized reports, and perform trend/data analysis.
- Provide analysis on aggregate-level data.
- Analyze data for trends and patterns that will allow us to adjust our strategy based on maximizing results.
Testing:
- Work with staff to develop testing strategies and implement statistical testing.
- Review statistical analysis and provide strategic insight on results.
Survey Design and Implementation:
- Assist staff with survey design and implementation.
- Use database software to segment results into graphical presentations.
- Design survey results in a presentation format using segmented tables and graphs.
Research and Benchmarking:
- Assist with research projects, including data collection processes and analysis.
- Assist with writing final reports and white papers for publication.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, math, information sciences or related field.
- 1-2 years of data analysis and technology internship or professional experience
- Strong understanding of and experience with computing concepts including applications, databases, spreadsheets, and statistics.
- Specific knowledge of Excel, Access, and SQL and statistical software package. (SPSS preferred.)
- Experience juggling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
- Experience with email metrics, online recruitment and fundraising data.
- Experience working with non-profit, political, or advocacy organizations.
- Strong interest in political and social change.
