Position Overview:

This position is for an air emissions/stack tester. Employee will set up and run sample trains and conduct scientific analysis of source emissions. Will provide clients with accurate and pertinent scientific data according to agreed upon methods, procedures, and techniques. Provides sound conclusions and recommendations based upon field investigations and reviews within the established project.

Note: High School diploma with five or more years of related air quality experience will substitute for degree.

Responsibilities: 

Candidates will be required to:

  • Travel extensively - up to 85%
  • Work at heights of at least 300 feet
  • Lift and carry 60 pounds
  • Work in all weather conditions
  • Assemble, operate, calibrate and repair source testing equipment
  • Mobilization and set-up of sampling equipment and mobile laboratory
  • Perform source testing
  • Possess knowledge of common software programs
  • Possess strong math and mechanical skills
  • Posses a valid drivers license with clean driving history

Qualifications:

  • BS or BA in an Environmental, Physical Science, or Engineering discipline preferred;
  • Must be familiar with technology in discipline;
  • Good mathematics background;
  • General ability to employ logical thought processes and capability to learn rapidly and the ability to communicate effectively; and
  • Experience with power plant and/or pulp and paper industry is a plus.
  • QSTI certification is a plus.
