McDonough Braungart Design Chemistry (MBDC) is seeking candidates to fill the position of Assistant Project Manager.

Job Description: 

§ Primary role is to assist Project Managers with the acquisition and maintenance of client accounts for two of MBDC's services - Cradle to Cradle Certification and Consulting. Typical tasks to be performed might be:  

o Prepare proposals and contracts for new clients; secure Non-disclosure agreements with clients and suppliers as needed
o Organize project deliverables and help PMs to maintain agreed tasks and timelines o Interact with clients and their supply chain partners to collect and enter material information into MBDC's information management system. Interact with technical team to complete material evaluations
o Educate clients, suppliers and general public about the goal of our work and processes used
o Write certification summary reports
o Conduct research on a wide variety of topics to support consulting services group; build expertise in one or more topical areas
o Prepare slides and other materials for client presentations
o Help write white papers, briefs, summary of findings based on research conducted by project team
o Help organize and maintain system for consultants to share information from previous research efforts o Administrative support when needed 

Minimum Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree. Relevant backgrounds - environmental science, biology, environmental planning, chemistry, industrial ecology, industrial design, permaculture within industrial settings, engineering (environmental, chemical, etc.) or any multi-disciplinary studies focusing on intersection between science and policy issues.

Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills; good interpersonal skills, client oriented, effectively use the internet for research; comfortable interacting with manufacturing suppliers by phone, interest and understanding of the interface between human industry and the natural environment; working knowledge of Design for Environment, Industrial Ecology and Life Cycle concepts. Functional knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and functional understanding of Access desirable. 

Salary Range: $30,000 - $40,000 annual. Benefits include: health, dental, life, disability, vacation and pre-tax retirement savings plan.
