Position Overview
Green Mountain College, an innovative liberal arts college with an environmental focus, seeks to fill the full-time position of Assistant/Associate Professor of Sustainable Design in the Renewable Energy and Ecological Design (REED) program with technical expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Ecological design;
- Design-build;
- Digital design;
- Digital fabrication; or
- Green building practices.
Responsibilities
- Teaching duties include upper and lower level design studios, design-build courses, and upper level courses in the applicant's area of interest.
- The successful candidate will also contribute to the College's award winning Environmental Liberal Arts general education program.
Qualifications
- The ideal candidate will have an interdisciplinary background and a strong interest in applying sustainable design strategies to innovative design-build projects.
- A terminal degree in architecture, design, or related interdisciplinary field is preferred, with professional experience a plus.
