Position Overview:
The Environmental Studies Program at Binghamton University, State University of New York, invites applications for a tenure-track position as Assistant Professor in Environmental Policy and Law, with a focus on sustainable development, to begin in Fall 2012 (August 2012). We value prior teaching experience in environmental policy and/or environmental law.
The faculty member will be expected to teach a total of 4 courses each year, and assist with advising undergraduate majors and minors in the Environmental Studies program. The faculty member is expected to develop a robust research program; a strong research record is a requirement for tenure.
Department: Geological Sciences and Environmental Studies
Qualifications:
Applicants should have a Ph.D. (completion required by the time of appointment) in environmental studies or science, public policy, political science, or a related discipline combined with a strong background in environmental studies.
