Description

California College of the Art's (CCA) San Francisco-based Department of Architecture has both a professionally accredited BArch and MArch program. These programs integrate critical, artistic, and material approaches to the study and practice of architecture, and seek expanded opportunities both within and outside of the College for interdisciplinary collaboration.

The faculty is comprised of highly accomplished designers and scholars, and is committed to an architectural education with an emphasis on experiments in alternative models of practice, design, and fabrication. The curriculum accordingly brings developments in culture, media, and technology to bear on the process of architectural production. In addition, the school's location in the San Francisco Bay Area offers a polycentric urban laboratory for architectural exploration, influenced by its expanded geographical, cultural and historical position in relation to the Americas, the Pacific Rim and Europe.
