EarthBalance is an ecosystem restoration and environmental consulting company based in Florida. 

Working throughout the southeastern United States and the Caribbean, our teams of environmental scientists and trained technicians are experts in designing, constructing, restoring, and managing upland and wetland habitats.


Specifically we:

  • Remove invasive or unwanted vegetation
  • Grow and install native plant species
  • Operate three mitigation banks in Florida
  • Consult with land managers and regulatory agencies to obtain approvals or permits

Position Overview

EarthBalance® is seeking an Assistant Crew Supervisor for work in South Florida.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge and at least 1 year experience in plant identification and control technologies for invasive exotic plants common to S. Florida
  • Current Florida applicator license in aquatic and/or natural areas categories preferred

Other qualifications include:

  • Valid Florida driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Knowledge of data and record keeping
  • Ability to operate GPS receiver and collect spatial data
  • Ability to operate and conduct field maintenance of vehicles, spray equipment, chainsaws, small boats, airboats, ATVs, and swamp buggies
  • Ability to recognize and avoid hazards associated with operation of such equipment
  • Knowledge of poisonous plants and animals, biting insects, and hostile terrain
  • Ability to work under adverse physical and weather conditions, including high temperature and humidity
  • Position will require extensive travel and overnight stays.
  • Successful applicant will need positive attitude, be able to work productively with little supervision, have good communication skills, and be reliable and responsible
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
