Description

The Jones Payne Group is a nationally recognized leader in the planning and implementation of community-focused programs, providing architecture, urban planning, program management, and information management services to the public and private sector. We are seeking candidates for the position of Architect to work as part of a team to support projects in the Seattle area.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrated experience working with public sector clients
  • Preparation of technical documentation
  • Coordination of projects throughout all phases of development
  • Provide oversight during design development
  • Production of working drawings and construction documents
  • Provide direction to assigned staff
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve technical and code-related issues
  • Ability to establish and maintain budgets, schedules, and monitor adherence of terms of contract expectations

Qualifications:

Skills and Experience Requirements:

  • Architect professional registration in State of Washington
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture
  • 15+ years experience
  • AutoCAD proficiency
  • Working knowledge of building codes, standards, and structures
  • Must demonstrate excellence in both written and verbal communication skills and have experience presenting to a variety of audiences
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Ability to interface with clients, consultants and contractors
  • Interest in client advocacy and community outreach
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record

Preferred Experience:

  • Transportation and public housing experience
  • LEED accreditation
  • Practical experience with Sustainable Building Design
