We are a resource for New York's wild animals in need.Our mission is to provide comprehensive care and support for wildlife rescue, rehabilitation, release, and domestic animal welfare. Through our work, we aim to be a vital link between people, communities, and organizations involved in animal conservation efforts, both locally and internationally.

Wildlife Conservation: In addition to direct animal care, we are committed to long-term wildlife conservation efforts. We will invest in community education programs, awareness campaigns, and partnerships with local schools to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation for wildlife conservation. Animal Nonprofit Fundraiser and Grant Writer

This is for part time help at my home based nonprofit animal rescue and wildlife rehabilitation organization. We are a small operation on a tight budget so the base pay will not exceed more the 5 to 8 hours week but the commission percentage is negotiable and if funding allows the hours can be extended. I am seeking dedicated fundraising and grant writing administrative support. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal welfare and the ability to run campaigns to raise money for animal care and supplies. We do specialized wildlife rehabilitation including raccoons and skunks. This role is essential in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of the animals under our care. We need someone with experience, contacts and skills to help write grants, fundraising ads and help with other nonprofit funding task. We can offer a base wage with added percentages for funds raised.

Responsibilities

• Run detailed searches of foundations and sources for grants and donor.
• Write grants to attain funds.
• Maintain ongoing campaigns with funding sources we are already aligned with and generate new sources.
• Assist with social media post
• Support connections to local donors and community involvement to get donations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in grant writing or fundraising.
• Knowledge of animal rescue and rehabilitation a plus.
• Familiarity with corporate funding such as benivity etc
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Have skills to write fundraising ads and reach out to our sponsors.
• Applicants with proven Fundraising and grant writing abilities will get preference.
