Position Overview:

SRA is seeking a policy analyst to provide geothermal analysis and programmatic support. Tasks include support in the development of reports, speeches, presentations, and other assignments related to geothermal; real-time analysis; quick response task management; communication and coordination with the geothermal community; and other project support, as required.

This opportunity will provide you with the chance to work directly with the DOE Geothermal Program to impact the development of the geothermal industry and its market penetration in the US. You will also interact directly with our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Writing speeches and presentations for the Program Manager, and other senior scientists,
  • Researching and writing briefing materials and reports,
  • Performing real-time technological, economic and market analysis,
  • Facilitating cross functional information and resource sharing within the organization,
  • Coordinating with the geothermal community.

Qualifications: 

Required:

  • BA or BS degree (BS preferred in geology, earth sciences, international relations or related)
  • Demonstrated interest and knowledge in clean energy policy, international policy and geothermal energy,
  • Comprehensive analytical, technical and research skills,
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills,

Desired:

  • Masters degree (MS preferred in geology, earth sciences, international relations or related)
  • Demonstrated interest and knowledge in clean energy policy, international policy and geothermal energy,
  • Comprehensive analytical, technical and research skills,
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills,
  • Ability to organize workflow and coordinate activities,
  • Efficient with strong attention to details,
