ERCI uses advanced probabilistic modeling, decision analysis, and Monte Carlo simulation techniques to identify the most effective liability reduction opportunities. We deal with all aspects of environmental liability analysis and strategic transaction support, including reserve forecasting, budgeting, portfolio analysis, capital stewardship, financial engineering, and environmental decision analysis.
ERCI has developed the most widely-used environmental liability risk analysis and forecasting software, Defender". Our clients forecast project costs, set budgets, and recommend environmental reserves on both a project and portfolio basis. ERCI's client engagements include evaluation of existing environmental liability portfolios, validation of reserve forecasts, design of portfolio management programs, and support for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. We also facilitate industry benchmarking studies, offer training and support for Defender" users, and participate in detailed site analysis sessions. Position:
ERCI is looking for a highly skilled and motivated analyst. The successful applicant will be an integral part of ERCI's San Francisco team and will be responsible for providing our services to existing clients:
* Quantitative analysis of environmental cleanup programs
* Evaluation and development of remediation strategies and decision analysis reflecting cost accuracy and alignment with client goals
* Independent management of projects from design through development and implementation
* Effective interaction with clients at all levels of an organization
* Periodic U.S. travel to client locations as required
* Ability to work remotely and travel independently is essential
Required Qualifications: The successful applicant will have the following minimum qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree from a major university, preferably in Finance, Business, Engineering, or Environmental Science
* 0-2 years of consulting, financial project and/or sales experience in one or more of these industries: investment banking, environmental and/or management consulting, oil and gas, chemical, utilities, heavy manufacturing and transportation.
* Experience using Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, and all MS office applications
* Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills
* Attention to detail, ability to work under deadlines, prioritize, and multi-task
* Legally authorized to work in the United States on a regular full-time basis without restrictions
* Strong passion for environmental issues.
Position Duration: The successful employee should expect to work in this analyst position for approximately two years prior to advancement to associate levels. During this time, training and client assignments will provide professional growth. A commitment of at least 2 years is preferred.
